The Bridgeport Ballerz participated in their initial spring tournament of the 2024 season. They lost the first game by seven points to the eventual champions. In the second game, they fell behind by 18 points but staged a comeback and won by twelve points against a team from Massachusetts. The Ballerz seemed to struggle a bit on the defensive end and needed better coordination on the offensive end. Coach Rob didn’t appear to be too concerned about his team’s effort, as he downplayed it by saying “This is only the team’s first tournament.” However, if this team wants to play at an elite level, they will have to improve their defense and ball movement.
